How to treat crushed Carpet fibers
  1. Put some ice cubes in a bowl.
  2. Place the ice cubes along the dented areas of carpeting or in the spot where a piece of furniture was set. Place cubes about 2 inches apart.
  3. Let the ice cubes rest on the carpet for several hours or overnight, at least until cubes are completely melted.
  4. Allow the carpet to dry completely.
    1. Vacuum the carpet in the areas where you set the ice cubes.
    2. Carpet fibers should now be returned to their normal upright position. If they're still lying down, fluff them up with your finger tips.
    3. Reapply ice cubes if needed.
