The IRS and other government agentcies are becoming more stricter and looking closer at the Retailer / Sub Contractor relationship. By re-classifying Installers as employees will allow them to collect a lot more money, especially from the Seller.
To help protect themselves Sellers require that Installers get federal ID numbers, ficticous busines names, insurances and sign an Independent Contractor Agreement.such as the one above.
Also included is a basic Agreement between owner and Contractor for Installers that work directly with the Home or Business owner. Samples are side 1 of 2.
